Job Description

The Inside Sales Coordinator will act as a liaison between sales and operations.  Source and qualify new potential customers and generate sales leads.

The successful candidate will have a strong customer service focus and sales driven “can do” attitude.  He or she will have several years of freight forwarding experience coupled with an impressive client track record.
Responsibilities include
• Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers, and support the sales department in negotiating rates and quotes for services
• Participate in various customer service appreciation events (including; meeting, luncheon, etc.) to assist in the retention of current customer base.
• Responsible for the effective maintenance of the companies ISO Policies. Participate in meetings and overall objectives for the terminal.
• Provide quotations for existing customers; source rates and services in order to create accurate and competitive quotations.
• Assist with the generation of prospective clients, provide sales leads to the Sales manager (where appropriate), participate in various sales meetings, present and/or participate in presentations to customers and KWE staff.
• Generate various weekly and monthly reports for management and staff.
• Upload all quotations, net costing and maintain customer data in SENS.
• Review and research market changes; develop and suggest new marketing strategies to increase awareness and promote corporate image.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years sales experience within the freight forwarding industry
• Proven sales and business development record
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Proficient computer use; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
