Extreme Cold Weather Impacting Trains

January 3, 2018

The following is a recent update from CN Rail

Due to the recent extreme cold weather impacting train lengths as well as, the now resolved disruption on our mainline between Winnipeg and Melville near Atwater, Saskatchewan, customers may experience delays of 24-48 hours to traffic moving through the Western Canada region.

Service Delivery is monitoring impacted traffic and will be in contact with customers that have shipments at risk. The remainder of the network remains fluid.

Customers with Shipments destined Overseas: The IMX-Export Service Delivery team is monitoring traffic traveling in this corridor closely and will advise if any loads are in jeopardy of not making their intended vessel.
