CN Rail Current Labour Negotiations With IBEW
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) System Council No. 11, which represents over 700 Signal and Communications workers at Canadian National Railway, may be facing a possible work stoppage effective March 21, 2017. The IBEW filed a Notice to Strike with CN.
CN continues to pursue a negotiated settlement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. CN is working actively with the federal mediators and have proposed solutions to many of the issues that remain in contention.

CN has made contingency plans to continue rail operations in the event of a strike and will maintain service to its customers.
