Air France fliers grounded as strike roils flight schedules

February 22, 2018

Tens of thousands of Air France passengers faced disruptions Thursday as a labor strike snarled the carrier’s operations.

Long-haul flights were hit hardest, with Air France canceling about half of those from its Paris schedule on Thursday. Flights to Atlanta, Detroit, New York and San Francisco were among hundreds of cancellations at the airline.

More than 320 of Air France’s “mainline” flights had been grounded as of 9:45 a.m. ET, accounting for nearly half of the company’s daily schedule.
